Owner Karen Decker has been amazing in training us on how to train Shine, and although we have not always been very diligent with the exercises, he has had tremendous success. It is said that Pit Bulls are fantastic dogs because the breeds #1 concern and goal is to please the owner. I think that while this has played a part in our success, Karen’s constant availability and council has allowed us to fine tune is behavior and prepare for new situations wisely. For example, we are always introducing Shine to new visitors, new dogs and large crouds to which we has learned to respond phenominally even when he is aware of the fear around him. People are able to relax and enjoy his docile nature within only a minute or two because f proper introduction. He has no animal aggression at all, and loves to play with friends! Hooray to P.U.P.S. Dog Obedience Training and of course constant love and affection!
Today is my baby’s third birthday!
We are having a dinner party tomorrow night!
Stayed tuned for pictures!
Ok, Here he is…this is pretty much his position when there is food on the table. I taught him to beg because I think it is cute. Shhh. Don’t tell my sister (in-law) Jenn. She loves the dog whisper philosophy. I just think it is so darm cute when he “talks” and then when he does, well…I feed him! Oh, and by the way he is on a raw diet. More on that later! : )
Poor Michael had to stay home from Kindergarten and watch movies all day while his brother and sister went to the bus stop without him. Boo Hoo, but who came to the rescue? Thats right, our beloved Shine. He is quite the cuddler. Did you know that dogs can sence when you are not feeling well? They often pay close attention to you when ill as well as when your sad. They even know if someone is mentally unstable or on medication. Of course we all know that they can sence fear and Shine does trigger fear in people once in a while. : ) Maybe I will take a picture of him when the UPS man knocks on the door!
Joshua always wanted a small dog, and well, Shine THINKS he is a small dog. I will post some evidence of that one later.
